This week we all gathered at our Auburn Hills, MI location. Brian Enright (CEO & Managing Director of DPW Americas Region) & Marcelo Felberg (CFO) brought us together for a nice lunch and to discuss topics regarding our merger with DP World.

For a moment, it was as if COVID had never happened. Bright eyes and smiles all around the room, mingling and greeting each other like we’ve never left.

Great teams work together constantly, no matter in person or virtually. Great teams don’t lose touch with each other and are always available for support.

Being together this week proved this, that though we have been working remote for the most part – nothing has changed.

Corporate social responsibility in Supply chain management, what is it exactly?

Let's break it down:

CSR helps a company be accountable to itself, stakeholders and the public.

SCM involves the efficient and economic management of the flow of goods and services, including all processes that transfer raw materials into final products.

We must navigate potential ethical, legal, and economic concerns and risks that could arise if we chose a supplier that may have poor safety conditions for their workers, slave labor, or does animal testing.

Corporate social responsibility is essentially a business model by which companies make an effort to operate in ways that enhance rather than degrade society and the environment.

With 2022 in our rearview mirror, we hope that the COVID-induced issues are in the past as well.

Over the past 2 years logistics has dealt with supply and demand discrepancies, low reliability, global port congestion, labor shortages, capacity constraints and more which caused higher rates.

In 2023, carriers & shippers will continue to find ways to reduce our carbon footprint. The goals will continue to be resilience, efficiency, reliability, speed and quality.

Covid-19 tested us, pushing us to be adaptable and build even stronger relationships with our partners.

We look forward to making 2023 our best year yet with a focus on all things related to environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards.

As a new employer to the area, syncreon, a DP World Company, are delighted to be able to sponsor Burton Albion Football Club and are pleased to be able to make a positive impact and contribution to the Burton Community and surrounding areas.
