Hi, my name is Stephanie. I’m a single mom and the owner of WooRides, a pedicab business built to provide safe transportation, support local events, and create flexible income opportunities for drivers in the community.

Over the last several months, I’ve sacrificed a lot to build this business from the ground up. What started as a dream quickly became something real — helping people get around safely while also creating work opportunities for local drivers.

Right now, we’re facing major repair and maintenance costs to keep several pedicabs safely on the road. Batteries, brakes, tires, and other essential parts are urgently needed, and the costs are becoming difficult to manage alone.

This fundraiser will help keep WooRides running, keep drivers working, and allow us to continue serving the community we’ve worked so hard to be part of.

My name is Stephanie, and I’m a single mother who took a chance on building something bigger than myself, a pedicab company focused on community, opportunity, and safe transportation.

Over the last several months, I poured everything I had into building WooRides. What started as an idea became a growing business with a fleet of pedicabs, local drivers earning income, and a mission centered on helping people safely experience the city while supporting local events, tourism, and nonprofits.

Like many small business owners, especially single parents, I believed hard work, long nights, and determination would be enough. I invested my savings, my time, my energy, and sacrificed countless hours away from my son to keep this dream alive. In just the first six months, WooRides has already worked to support community events, provide transportation during busy city nights, and create opportunities for independent drivers who need flexible income.

But building a transportation business from the ground up is expensive.

Right now, we are facing critical operational challenges. Several pedicabs urgently need repairs and replacement parts to stay on the road safely. Batteries, tires, brake systems, lighting, maintenance equipment, and mechanical repairs are all adding up faster than we can currently sustain. Without immediate support, we risk losing vehicles, drivers losing work opportunities, and a business that has worked so hard to become part of the community struggling to survive before it ever fully gets the chance to grow.

This fundraiser is not about giving up; it’s about fighting to keep going.

Every donation helps:
• Repair and maintain pedicabs
• Purchase essential safety parts and batteries
• Keep drivers working
• Support community transportation efforts
• Continue nonprofit and event collaborations
• Keep a woman-owned small business alive during its most difficult stage

WooRides was built with the belief that transportation can be more than just getting from one place to another. It can create experiences, help local economies, support events, reduce congestion, and bring people together.

As a single mother, asking for help is one of the hardest things I’ve had to do. But I also know that strong communities are built when people support each other during difficult moments.
