Please help our industry by contributing your voice to Congress that the charter buses used every day for student travel, emergency operations, and many other public needs, will be negatively impacted by the recently announced tariffs. The rising costs of parts and coaches will increase the costs passed on to consumers, many of which are not financially affluent, and depend upon the economies of using a high capacity vehicle which reduces conjestion and minimizes the impact to the environment. There are no charter motorcoaches built in the United States, all come from Canada, Mexico, and Europe. The lack of options will leave no choice but to keep older outdated equipment just to have buses to operate.
