🚚🐴🍂 Happy Thanksgiving from Lucky Horse Transportation 🍂🐴🚚

⏰ Eight years ago today, we were loaded up and heading out on our very first trip, all the way to Louisiana for our one and only kill pen run. We had no idea what we were doing yet, no clue what this business would turn into, and no idea how many miles and memories were ahead of us.

⛽️ We kept hauling from 2017 until last spring when we decided to step back. And I’ll be honest, walking away hurt. Hauling became such a huge part of our life and identity that letting go felt heavier than I ever expected. For a long time, looking back brought more pain than anything. 😞

But this year… something shifted.
I can finally look back with gratitude instead of hurt.

💚 Grateful for the good horses we met and helped along the way.

💚 Grateful for the good people who supported us, trusted us, and stuck with us.

💚 Grateful for the experiences, even the hard and chaotic ones that shaped us, taught us, and pushed us toward who we are now.

📖 Stepping back opened the door for our next chapter:

And strange as it sounds, without Lucky Horse Transportation, we never would’ve ended up exactly where we’re supposed to be. 🍀

For those wondering—we’re alive and well. The food truck is getting going for the season, and life is full of chaos in new ways. Trips to Costco are frequent and almost every weekend is booked.

The kids…
Baby Marshall? Still feral, living his best life with no regard for human rules. And completely adorable yet exhausting. Ryder? He’s my water-loving free spirit, always ready to dive into another adventure, misses hauling the most—unless he's busy with his chickens, because he is, without question, my Crazy Chicken Man. There’s always something in the incubator, because apparently, having a normal number of birds is not in our DNA.

Even though we stepped away from hauling, people still ask for quotes daily, like we secretly have rigs waiting in the driveway. And the truth is? I think about hauling all the time. And I do miss it.

So, I figured it’s time to share some stories—the wild, the heartbreaking, and the absolute messes we survived.

🛻 How hauling started and why it mattered.
🐎 The unbelievable chaos we lived through (a Mustang attacked Chris, no big deal).
💔 The losses that still sting.
🌎 The places and people that made it all worth it.

If someone says they are Lucky Horse Transportation they are scamming you. I had someone reach out today asking why we haven't picked their horse up while we're working in our food trailer in Northern Michigan and they had sent a deposit to whomever is using our information. 😞

💚 Thank you so much to everyone who keeps reaching out for quotes! I hope our outgoing message has been Self-Explanatory, I promise I haven't been trying to ignore anybody, we just have a lot going on so I was hoping having a message on there would help.

We have been taking a little bit of a break from hauling and started a Polish food truck. 🇵🇱

Our Kickstarter goal is $15,000 to cover our startup expenses for the Polish food truck 💰

So far we 24 backers and are at $786

We need $14,214 more 😳

If 2,842 of our followers pledged $5 we could make our goal
That's 83% of our followers

I know we're not perfect but we have tried to help people, horses and dogs as much as we can over the last 7 years of hauling.

💚 Please help give us a chance at a different living where truck breakdowns matter a little less, horses can't hurt us or themselves and we can share our love with the horse community in a different way. Plus we have some awesome rewards 🥟

Our goal with this business is to attend festivals but also to attend horse shows, clinics and expos. We are going to be an active member of our local community and the horse community across the country. 🐴

Having kids and horses is so hard, my heart is constantly being tugged in two different directions and both want all of my attention. 😬
