Skagit Transit Proudly connecting Skagit County, WA since 1993. Buses operate Monday through Sunday except on certain holidays.

Our goal is to provide high quality public transportation that meets the needs of the citizens of Skagit County at the least cost to the taxpayer contributing to the county's economy and quality of life. To do this, we provide traditional Fixed Route bus transportation to most shopping, medical, employment, recreational, and governmental locations. For information about our fare system please go t

o the Fares page. For those individuals in the community who are unable to use traditional Fixed Route service, we provide a curb-to-curb service called Dial-A-Ride. You can learn more about these services by going to the Dial-A-Ride or Travel Training pages on this site or by calling 360-757-4433 or 1-877-584-7528. Skagit Transit also provides Pocket Service for individuals that live in rural Skagit County. Each pocket area is assigned specific days each week to utilize Skagit Transit services. Skagit Transit complies with all federal requirements under Title VI which prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color or national origin.

SVC stop moved to the east side of College

Due to an event at SVC, Skagit Transit has moved the SVC stop to the parking lot just east of McIntyre Hall. A temporary stop will be located at the old gazebo. The SVC stop will reopen at 4:00 PM. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Sports Keg stop closed for construction (1413)

Due to construction, stop 1413 (Sports Keg) will be closed starting at 6:20 AM until 2:00 PM. Riders are encouraged to catch the bus to the north at Pease Road (1414) or to the south at George Hopper (1412). We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Route 206 Detour and stop closure 7am to 3pm Monday thru Friday only

Due to construction on S 18th Street, route 206 will turn right onto E Section Street, left onto S 19th Street, left on E Broadway Street, right onto S 18th street and be back on route. Stop 1287 (18th Street & Broadway Street) will be closed during the hours of construction. We have placed a temporary stop near the park on E Broadway at 18th Street.

SB I-5 off-ramp at Alger

WSDOT posted signage stating SB I-5 exit at Alger will be closed on May 10th. Length of closure is unspecified. This will cause the 80X to detour off I-5 at Nulle Rd and take Old 99 to Lake Samish Rd to Alger Park & Ride. From Alger P&R, the 80X will continue to I-5 on regular route south to Mount Vernon. Expect delays. Please note, NB 80X has a detour as well, but will last significantly longer.

80X NB Reroute due to construction

Due to the closure of the on-ramp to NB I-5 at Alger, Skagit Transit's 80X will temporarily be rerouted. Leaving Alger Park n Ride, route 80X will travel Lake Samish Road to Old Hwy 99 to Nulle Road to get back on I-5 NB. Please expect possible delays during this time. SB departures from Alger will remain on normal route. Please feel free to contact Customer Service for more information.
