Small trucking firm of 80+ trucks looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic & Welder
We are looking for someone who knows how to weld, to work on intermodal container repairs. Replace flooring, weld cross members, straighten etc.

Double VV, Inc. is an intermodal container and dry van trucking company. Arlin Van Voorst started Double VV Inc. in 1994. Arlin’s son, Travis took 100% ownership in 2013. Travis Van Voorst served 8 years in the Marine Corps in motor transport serving our troops in Iraq, Kuwait, South Korea and Okinawa. Now he brings his transport expertise to the marketplace to ship your container or dry van on time safely.
Double VV, Inc. began by picking up intermodal containers from the railroad heads in Kansas City whether it is CSX Intermodal, BNSF, Union Pacific, and Norfolk Southern and delivers the cargo to the states of Missouri, Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Nebraska and Iowa or any states needed originating from Kansas City. Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) is our largest customer. We also provide dry van services nationwide (except California).
In the last 20 years Double V.V., Inc. has grown from a fleet of 12 trucks to over 50! We pride ourselves in on time deliveries and our customer service. We are a progressive, forward looking company, and focus on our customer’s needs while maintaining excellent safety records. Double V.V. serves over 1200 customers and brokers nationwide, as well as several international brokers.
We are direct carriers for several steamship lines, including Mediterranean Shipping Co., Yang Ming, Hyundai, Maersk, Cosco and K-Line.
We have customers that may only do 3-4 loads a year and with our service records we have provided,they return year after year with the same loads. No one is too large, or too small to receive the quality we provide for every load.
We are ahead of the Federal National Electric Logging Standards. All our fleet is on GPS, so we always know where your load is and when it will be delivered to your location. Our storage facilities are on a secured premise with 24×7 security monitoring.
