Just before we decided to temporarily pause the asset side of the operation, we were selected for a full blown DOT audit. Thanks to our amazing safety department we received a Satisfactory rating.

It sure will help with insurance once we decide to get the asset side up and running again.

Due to the extremely high insurance premium this year, we have decided to temporarily pause the motor carrier and asset side of MNM and concentrate on expanding and growing our Brokerage Division. We have already secured a new home for most of our drivers. We have also leased a few trucks with one of our partners to assist in transporting some of our customer freight. As we continue to develop MNM Logistics Group, we will watch from the sidelines as the current economic conditions and various industry challenges unfold. When the time is right, we will once again resume the asset side.

According to an article in the Freightwaves, Florida-based trucking company Carroll Fulmer Logistics is ceasing operations after more than 70 years, laying off 600 employees as it shutters its 400-truck, 1,700-trailer fleet. Despite receiving a $27M credit line in May, the company cites mounting lawsuits and the ongoing Great Freight Recession—starting in March 2022—as key reasons for its collapse. Affected employees will receive 60 days' severance pay. Industry experts warn more closures may follow, as many carriers, including major players like Heartland Express and PAM Transport, are struggling with unsustainable operating ratios.

Operation Safe Driver Week is a safe-driving awareness and outreach initiative aimed at improving the driving behaviors of passenger vehicle drivers and commercial motor vehicle drivers through educational and traffic enforcement strategies and interactions with law enforcement.

The next Operation Safe Driver Week is scheduled for July 13-19, 2025.

Throughout Operation Safe Driver Week, law enforcement personnel will be on the lookout for commercial motor vehicle drivers and passenger vehicle drivers engaging in risky driving.
