South Central Chapter had a tremendous turnout for their Annual Golf Outing on Tuesday, May 5, at Manada Golf Course in Grantville. And what a beautiful day it turned out to be!

Thank you to GIANT for sponsoring lunch! But it wouldn’t be a true Cinco de Mayo 🪇 celebration without homemade empanadas (for breakfast, by the way!) and Ken Goss in a 🌮 taco hat!

Big trucks, big smiles, and a great day connecting with the community at today’s East Pennsboro Touch-a-Truck event! 🚛☀️

PMTA was well represented by member companies and Road Team drivers who volunteered their time today. PA and America's Road Team Captain Bernie Wanyo brought the PMTA No Zone trailer with his UPS tractor. PA Road Team Captain Dave Simon from Ward Transport & Logistics Corp. brought the company's gorgeous Salute to Veterans trailer. And GIANT brought a beautiful new truck to show off at the event!

Kids had the chance to climb into the cabs and get an up-close look at the trucks that keep America moving every day.

While the little ones were having fun, we also had the opportunity to talk with parents and other adults about the importance of driving safely around large trucks and sharing the road responsibly.

Events like this help build awareness, strengthen connections with our communities, and maybe even inspire a few future professional drivers along the way. 🚛

What a great turnout for PMTA’s Northwest Chapter Legislative Meet & Greet! Thank you to Great Lakes Insurance Services Group LLC for hosting another outstanding event and to everyone who joined the conversation.

These events are such an important opportunity for trucking companies to connect directly with lawmakers and talk about the real issues affecting our industry, our drivers, and the businesses that rely on trucking every day. It was great to see so many companies and legislative leaders engaged in the discussion.

⚠️ May is Youth on Transportation Safety Month, bringing awareness to the importance of protecting young people from human trafficking and exploitation.

🌎 Human trafficking is a global issue, affecting nearly 50 million victims across the world. It’s also a local issue, as kids and adults are exploited in communities right here!

🤝 Throughout the month of May, PMTA is partnering with TAT Nonprofit to share age-appropriate resources about this issue for youth and caregivers. It might be scary or sad to think about, but the good news is that we can all play a role in combating this issue.
