Flying out on Sunday, Nov 1? It is Marathon Sunday in New York, and our new guide covers what that means for your airport run.
Many road closures run from about 7 AM to 4 PM. The Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge is closed to traffic, and on the East Side, First Avenue and the Queensboro Bridge lower level stay closed for much of the day. Heading to JFK or LaGuardia? Leave early.
Flying private? Teterboro and Westchester trips often stay clear of the course.
Book ahead instead of hunting for a ride Sunday morning. We plan the route around the closures and set your pickup on a street that stays open. A black Escalade or BMW 7 Series for one, an executive Sprinter for the whole team.
