Non Emergency Medical Transportation, providing door to door service for Ambulatory patients as well as those in need of wheelchair or stretcher transportation to medical appointments.

- Assists the driver with loading patients into vehicles via stretcher or wheelchair.
- Ride along with patients to assist while in transit and at homes, facilities, and appointments.
- Clean and sanitize equipment such as wheelchairs, stretchers, and vehicles.
- Change and launder bed linens.

DRIVING IS NOT REQUIRED

Must be physically able to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment in and out of vehicles, up and down stairs, etc.

Please have strong ethical and moral character references.

Our medical transportation vehicles are used to transport disabled people and others with medical conditions. You will be responsible for safely getting patients to and from appointments in a clean vehicle. It's your job to handle loading the patient in and out of the vehicle, using wheelchair lift equipment as appropriate, and to keep the vehicle comfortable for the patient. Drivers also need to comply with policies on patient confidentiality. Drivers also keep logs of their trips that are used both for record keeping and billing purposes.

Must hold a valid NYS CDL with a passenger endorsement. If you have a School endorsement, you would qualify for certain trips at a higher rate of pay. You would have standard written and behind the wheel testing, as per DMV and DOT regulations.

Rate of pay is competitive, hours are flexible, sometimes early, sometimes late. Expect anywhere between 30 - 40 hours per week.

CDL w passenger endorsement REQUIRED. Please don't waste anyone's time asking. You will have to pass DMV 19-A testing, including a physical and drug test.

Must be physically able to load and unload wheelchairs and stretchers in and out of the vans and patients homes. There's more involved than just driving.

School bus drivers are well qualified, but unavailable during most of the daytime.

Currently looking to hire a driver. We provide door to door service for patients who are confined to wheelchairs or are mobility restricted in other ways.
It requires a higher level of care and service than a normal taxi driver. Hours will vary, but regularly fall between 30 - 40 hours per week. You have to be flexible with your availability.

Requires a CDL with Passenger endorsement. You would be required to pass a written test and a behind the wheel test per the DMV. A DOT physical and drug test is also mandatory. The requirements are similar to a school bus driver, without the School endorsement on your license; if you currently have as S endorsement, that would be useful as well.
