Job Description
Scott’s Hot Shot is a locally owned and operated trucking company looking for dependable, hardworking Class A CDL drivers to join our team.
We primarily serve the oilfield industry, hauling equipment, materials, and supplies. Our drivers operate a variety of equipment, including one-ton pickups, pickups with gooseneck trailers, and semis with 48-foot trailers.
The oilfield operates 24/7, and so do we! Applicants must understand that schedules can vary and be willing to work nights, weekends, and occasional holidays as needed.
We’re looking for motivated individuals who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty, take pride in their work, and are eager to jump in and help wherever needed. This is more than just sitting behind the wheel!
Job Responsibilities
* Safely operate company trucks and trailers.
* Transport oilfield equipment, materials, and freight.
* Be willing and eager to assist with loading, unloading, and securing freight.
* Properly secure all loads according to DOT regulations.
* Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
* Maintain accurate driver logs and paperwork.
* Keep trucks, trailers, and equipment clean and well maintained.
* Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and coworkers.
* Be flexible with changing schedules and last-minute hauling requests.
* Be available for nights, weekends, and on-call work as scheduled.
Qualifications
* Valid Class A CDL.
* Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience.
* Clean driving record.
* Experience with gooseneck trailers and/or tractor-trailers.
* Knowledge of DOT regulations and proper load securement.
* Willingness to work flexible hours in a 24/7 oilfield environment.
* Dependable, motivated, and safety-conscious.
* Strong work ethic and willingness to help with all aspects of the job.
* Ability to work independently and take care of company equipment.
