Sometimes it is kind of wild the discussions that come about when discussing Carnival cruises and transportation. 🤔🤦‍♂️🤣 For many people lately, luggage has been a big topic. While there is no guarantee there will never be a bag broken or scratched, Asphalt Lots has taken several measures to ensure bags travel safely while you are on our shuttles. The trailers allow us to move luggage with minimal to no stacking. I did hear someone say they got a splinter from the wood in the trailer. While we do our best, guests need to understand a few things. If you overload your already giant suitcase, we aren't throwing our back out to lift it. If you are concerned about this, please ask to be placed on the bus or one of the non trailer vans. Second, please think ahead when you are boarding the shuttles. We get blasted for every min of wait in the heat, and the cold, and the rain, and even in a perfect breeze at 72°, but we get luggage sometimes that has to be taken apart like a lego set. Bags tied to the handle. Cups falling out the side. Eleven pieces of luggage all attached like it is a whole mobile home! 🤦‍♂️ Pack and transport as you want. We don't have many restrictions, but know, the longer you take to get your drivers the bags and the longer it takes us to load, the longer that line stays to get to your destination. HELP US HELP YOU! 🙏🙏🙏

While there were lines everywhere today, and some wonderful live reporting by Shatima Ruffin, we did make one mistake today and there is nobody to blame but myself, Brad. We had five tents and about 50 umbrellas we could have handed out to assist with at least some shade while you waited. We got rolling this morning and I completely spaced out telling the port crew to put all that up and make the umbrellas available. We will get it together and be prepared for hot weather moving forward. We will also make sure we have plenty of water on hand to keep everyone hydrated.

In addition, we are adding a second bus next week and will continue to utilize two buses of we stay as busy as June has shown to be.
