The NYS Budget includes several key developments impacting trucking and transportation — including auto insurance reforms, CLCPA adjustments, delayed Cap-and-Invest implementation, and SEQRA changes.

A major highlight: action on auto insurance costs, a long-standing TANY priority.

Today, NYS Senator Roxanne J. Persaud (D-19 Brooklyn)Senator Roxanne Persaud hosted the TAT Nonprofit Mobile Freedom Drivers Project Exhibit in recognition of Youth in Transportation Month, bringing critical awareness to the fight against human trafficking. New York State Department of Transportation was present with their human trafficking exhibit as well.

TANY’s Zach Miller participated in the press conference alongside partners from Truckers Against Trafficking and industry leaders committed to education, awareness, and action.

Throughout the month, TANY will continue sharing information on how to spot the signs of human trafficking and how the trucking industry can help make a difference.
