Our customers don’t just need a truck

They need things to go right

Crews are scheduled
Jobs are lined up
And everything depends on that delivery showing up on time

If it doesn’t, they’re the one dealing with it

That’s why it’s not about finding the cheapest option

It’s about knowing the job is handled

Because once you’ve dealt with delays and bad communication, you don’t want to go through it again

That’s why people come back to ust

Not all trucks are equal

Some show up on time and communicate well

Some don’t

Some have the right equipment and experience

Some shouldn’t be on the job

The problem is, you usually don’t find out until it’s too late

That’s why we focus heavily on the carrier before anything moves

Because the wrong truck creates problems fast

Scaffolding loads look simple

Until you’re the one responsible for getting them to the jobsite on time

Different pieces, mixed bundles, tight schedules, and crews waiting

That’s where things can fall apart

At Rocky Mountain Heavy Haul, we focus on what happens after you say yes

How it’s loaded
How it’s delivered
And how it actually works on-site

Because in scaffolding, timing and sequence matter just as much as the move

“If it rolls, we can just tow it”

Sounds simple, but it’s not always that easy

Tires, brakes, lights, and legal requirements all come into play

We’ve seen tow-away moves turn into delays and safety issues because those details were overlooked

Sometimes it works

Sometimes it creates bigger problems

That’s why we take the time to evaluate it before making that decision

Everything lined up on paper

But the delivery site told a different story

Tight access and limited room to maneuver

The wrong trailer would have caused a problem the moment the truck showed up

We adjusted the plan before it became an issue

That’s the difference between reacting and planning ahead

Ever get two quotes for the same load and one is way higher?

There’s always a reason

It could be timing
Truck availability
Carrier quality
Or just someone throwing out a number

From the outside, it looks confusing

But behind the scenes, there’s always a story behind that price

At Rocky Mountain Heavy Haul, we don’t just send quotes

We break down what it actually takes to move your equipment the right way

Because cheap upfront can get expensive fast

Here’s a real move we handled recently

Looked simple at first glance

But weight, height, and routing all had to be dialed in

We selected the right trailer, mapped the route, and coordinated timing to avoid delays

That’s the difference between moving freight and managing a move

The most expensive mistake in trucking isn’t damage

It’s bad information

Wrong height, guessed weights, incomplete details

That’s how loads get delayed, rerouted, and cost way more than expected

At Rocky Mountain Heavy Haul, we take the time upfront to get it right

Because fixing problems on the road is always more expensive than preventing them

18 Years Ago I Took a Risk

Today marks 18 years since I started Rocky Mountain Heavy Haul.

Back then it was just me, a phone, and a determination to build something of my own.

No big team. No massive carrier network. Just the belief that if you treated customers right and solved problems when things got tough, the business would grow.

Over the years I have learned something about trucking. In this industry, the stakes are real. If a machine does not show up, the jobsite can stop. Crews sit. Deadlines slip. Costs pile up.

The people responsible for moving that equipment feel that pressure immediately. That is why this business is not really about trucks.

It is about trust.

Trust that the load will move when you say it will. Trust that someone will answer the phone when things change. Trust that the person coordinating the move actually understands what is at stake.

Eighteen years later, that is still what drives our company.

Rocky Mountain Heavy Haul has grown into a trusted partner for companies moving heavy equipment across the United States and Canada. What means the most to me are the relationships built along the way with customers, carriers, and partners who take pride in doing the job right.

If you have been part of the journey, thank you.

Every job has pressure points. Equipment moves are usually one of them.

When a machine shows up late, everyone notices. When it shows up on time, no one says a word.

That silence is the goal.

The best moves support the schedule instead of becoming part of the story.

If you could remove one recurring headache from your projects, what would it be?

Heavy haul mistakes rarely stay small.

A missed clearance becomes a reroute.
A reroute becomes a delay.
A delay turns into a lost day on the schedule.

Most of those costs never appear on an invoice.
They show up as pressure and explanations.

That is why asking detailed questions early is not overkill.
It is protection.

What is the most expensive small mistake you have seen?
