Our team had a fantastic time attending this year's OAPT Conference! 🚍📚

One of the biggest benefits of attending events like these is the opportunity to learn from and connect with transportation professionals who are passionate about serving students safely and effectively.

Throughout the conference, our team had the chance to engage with our school districts partners and transportation organizations across Ohio and beyond, including representatives from Dublin City Schools, Westerville Schools, Fairbanks Local Schools, Olentangy Schools, Groveport Madison Schools, and the Michigan Association for Pupil Transportation. 🤝

A special thank you to the Ohio Association for Pupil Transportation leadership team, board members, presenters, and attendees who helped make this year's conference such a valuable experience. We appreciate the opportunity to share ideas, discuss best practices, and continue learning from some of the best in the industry.

Recently, we had the opportunity to celebrate a very special member of the Tristar family as Claudia officially retired after 12 years of service. 💙🚐

Throughout her time with Tristar, Claudia wore many hats. From serving as a dependable substitute driver to helping train others as a Child Passenger Safety Seat Technician. No matter the role, she always brought dedication, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to the people she served.

Over the years, Claudia helped ensure countless riders traveled safely and gave her time and expertise to support both our team and our community. Her impact will be felt long after her final day behind the wheel.

Recently our fearless leader and President, Lauren, traveled to Washington, D.C. to participate in The Transportation Alliance Legislative Fly-In alongside transportation leaders from across the country. 🇺🇸🚐

Throughout the event, industry leaders and congressional committee representatives discussed the future of transportation and the upcoming transportation reauthorization bill, with a strong focus on improving access, efficiency, and outcomes within Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT).

Lauren also met with staff from the offices of Ohio Senator Bernie Moreno and Senator Jon Husted alongside fellow Ohio transportation partners, TLC Transit and Provide A Ride, to advocate for key issues impacting the communities we serve every day. Some of the core topics discussed included:
📊 Modernizing NEMT to reduce waste, strengthen system integrity, and improve patient outcomes
🤝 Encouraging transit agencies to partner with qualified local transportation providers to help create effective microtransit solutions for communities
