We're proud to sponsor Capital City Young Aviators' first ever Run the Runway 5K on Sunday, October 4 at Bolton Field. Run or walk a course that's usually reserved for airplanes, then stick around for BBQ from JPs, live music from the Anything Blue band, and raffles including an introductory flight.

Every dollar supports CCYA's work with local middle and high school students through mentoring, aviation experiences, and scholarships. There's also a free Kids Fun Run, so bring the whole family.

Caught a glimpse of this impressive Sikorsky S-61N over at Lane Aviation! 🛩️

Don't let the airport runway fool you—this isn't a plane, but one of the most versatile medium/heavy-lift helicopters ever made. Originally derived from the military Sea King, the "N" version features specialized side floats making it perfectly optimized for flying over water and supporting offshore oil rigs.

Today, these massive machines are often used as "aerial cranes," lifting everything from heavy construction equipment to fighting wildfires. Always cool to see aviation history still hard at work!
