Getting ready for a gravel delivery? πŸͺ¨ A little prep makes the whole job go smoother.

βœ… Clear the drop area, move cars, trailers, and anything fragile
βœ… Mark the exact spot you want it dumped (a spray-paint X works great)
βœ… Make sure there's enough overhead clearance for the truck to raise the bed
βœ… Be there if you can, so the driver can confirm placement
βœ… Have a plan to spread it within a day or two so it doesn't sit

Crusher run or 57 gravel? One of the most asked questions at the yard. Here's the difference.

πŸͺ¨ Crusher Run (610 Limestone Base): A mix of fine particles up to 1Β½" rock. Compacts tight. Ideal for driveways, road base, and anywhere you need a hard, stable surface.

πŸͺ¨ 57 Gravel: Clean, uniform rock (about Β½" to 1"). Doesn't compact. Drains well. Perfect for drainage, French drains, and decorative landscaping.

Quick rule: if you need a hard surface, use crusher run. If you need water to move through, use 57. βœ…

"Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal." Isaiah 26:4 ✝️

Some things shift with the seasons. Some things don't. We've leaned on the same Rock for over 50 years, and He has never let us down.

Praying for a strong week ahead for you and yours. πŸ™

One of the most common questions we get at the yard is, "How much gravel do I actually need?"

The answer depends on three things:
πŸ“ Length and width of the area
πŸ“ Depth (we usually recommend 2 to 3 inches for driveways and landscaping)
πŸͺ¨ The type of material

A good rule of thumb: 1 ton of gravel covers about 80 to 100 square feet at 2 inches deep.

Our materials aren't just for roads and driveways. 🚧 We also provide products for agricultural, landscaping, and specialty applications.

Here are a few you might not know about:
πŸͺ¨Pea Gravel: Smaller rock consisting of 1/4 to 3/8 inch in size. Works well for landscaping, walkways, and decorative use.

πŸͺ¨Mason Sand: Used for brick laying with a yellowish white tint. A go-to for masonry contractors.

πŸͺ¨Rip Rap: Available in sizes ranging from 4 inch to 12 inch rock. Used for erosion control and managing wash outs.

Today, we pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

We're grateful for the liberties we have. The freedom to work, to serve our communities, and to build something meaningful. None of that is possible without those who gave everything.

To the families of our fallen heroes: we see you, we honor you, and we thank you.

God bless our troops, and God bless America. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." Colossians 3:23 πŸ™

This verse is at the heart of what we do at Solid Rock. Every delivery, every handshake, every early morning on the road is done with purpose.

We believe that faith and hard work go hand in hand. When you build on that kind of foundation, it holds. 🀝
