Golf tournaments look calm on television. Behind the ropes, they're one of the more demanding environments for ground transportation.

Unlike a stadium built for crowds, a golf course is a large, open property with limited road access. Vehicles are typically routed to designated gates, lots, and drop-off points, and which one applies depends on who is in the car: a player, a caddie, a sponsor guest, a member of the media, or a hospitality client. Each group arrives on its own schedule, and many arrive well before the first tee time.

Then there's the weather. A suspended round doesn't just delay play; it moves every pickup that was planned around a finish time. A transportation plan built on the printed schedule has to be able to bend when the leaderboard does.

None of this is complicated once you've done it. It's just invisible until someone plans a golf week the way they'd plan a conference.
