The integrity of our company has been under attack during the last few days. So many people have jumped to conclusions without having all of the facts.
Here is Parlier Trucking updates:
Update 1: The office was never notified that the owner had any issues. The driver notified the owner and office that the horse was drifting in weight.
Update 2: Fake reports were published regarding the location of the truck. When the owner requested the driver to take the horse to the nearest licensed vet the driver was out of cell service and did not receive the message. By the time the driver reestablished cell service, death threats had already been made to our company.
Update 3: At this point the safety of our driver was the most important. The driver took the horse to a vet clinic on Sunday (Report Attached) The horse was examined and released to continue on transportation because no accomodations were available.
Update 4: The driver did call at 11:00 am however she was still at the vets office with the horse since 6:00 am. Due to it being Sunday this was the first available vet with the earliest hours that she could reach Monday morning. Due to death threats our company did not feel it was wise to release her location.
Update 5: The driver gave the vet all of the owners information and did exactly as the owner had requested and delivered the horse to the first available vet that could accommodate.
In summary this could have all been avoided if the buyer had contacted the office and brought to our attention that she had concerns, instead of going to social media. The driver has taken extended time while transporting this horse due to the suspicion it was older than claimed on contract. We value the knowledge of our drivers and agreed with her decision. The misrepresentation the owner was not contacted is false. We have text messages to back this up as well as phone logs.
