WHY SOME SCHOOL BUSES HAVE SEAT BELTS:

Large school buses generally rely on compartmentalization: closely spaced, energy-absorbing seats designed to help protect passengers. Federal rules require lap or lap/shoulder belts at designated seating positions on small school buses weighing 10,000 pounds or less.

DO:

BusPatrol provides school bus stop-arm safety technology designed to document potential violations when a vehicle illegally passes a stopped school bus with its stop arm extended.

Here's the basic process:
