48 states want this trucking law. Is your state one?

Dalilah’s Law passed House committee back in March — and it’s been stuck waiting on a floor vote ever since. It would lock CDL eligibility to citizens, permanent residents, and specific work visas, require English-only testing, and pull federal highway funds from states that don’t comply.

Industry groups are largely behind it. There’s also real pushback on how enforcement would actually play out. I’m not here to tell you which side to land on — I want to know what you’re seeing on the road.

Fire broke out this afternoon (Sunday, Sept 6) at what appears to be a closed poultry processing/distribution facility in the 5500 block of Mallory Road, South Fulton South Fulton Fire Rescue is actively fighting the blaze in the 5500 block of Mallory Road. 

• Smoke plumes are so massive they’re visible miles away at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. 
• City of South Fulton Police issued a smoke advisory, urging residents to close windows/doors and avoid pulling outside air in. Fire officials say no toxic hazard has been identified in the smoke, but it’s still an irritant — people with asthma or respiratory issues should take extra precaution.  

• Mallory Road is closed near Waverly Park Drive; public asked to stay clear so crews can work.

A 21 Air-operated Amazon Prime Air cargo flight (Flight 7598), a Boeing 767-300 arriving from San Juan, Puerto Rico, overran the runway at Miami International Airport around 2 PM today. The plane struck multiple vehicles, caught fire, and came to rest near a roadway close to the airport. 5 people have died and several others were injured. Over 60 Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units responded to the scene. All runways were briefly shut down under a full ground stop, causing hundreds of flight delays that are expected to continue into tomorrow. This is a developing story — sending prayers to everyone affected and their families. 🙏✈️
