You Know What’s Coming…
Every year it sneaks up on us—and every year it’s the same beautiful madness.
It starts with headlamps bouncing down the trail at 4:30 a.m., someone already griping about early fishing, and some legend sprinting past with a bright white Walmart rig like the Olympics depend on it.
We’ve all been there:
A kid hooks up and suddenly the river parts like Moses himself showed up—people cheering, rods lifted, full support from both banks.
But if the guy next to you lands one? Ten casts fly straight over the top of him like it’s a team event.
Someone falls in… and although we take out our phones for a quick picture or video, complete strangers risk their lives to make sure they get home to their families.
We come around the corner in the drift boat and people yell, “Hey, it’s Gus!” and hand him a sandwich or a treat they packed just for him.
It’s loud. It’s unpredictable. It’s like church and roller derby wrapped into one. And damn, we love it.
Booking Update
Our calendar is nearly full for the entire salmon season—no more direct bookings at this time. If you'd like to get on the cancellation list, send me a text or email and we’ll be in touch if something opens up.
We’ve built a rock-solid network of guides who work together, watch each other’s backs, and put people on the fish. If I can’t take you, we’ll set you up with someone I trust to give you a safe and successful trip.
This River…
This river is stocked like crazy. Millions of Chinook—Kings, as we call them—and Coho flood in every fall, returning to the familiar smell of their home.
By the time they reach us, they’re done eating and ready to spawn. But 28 to 29 pounds? That's real. And so is the rush when they hit.
Things get packed in along public stretches, but the experience? There's nothing like it anywhere else in the world.
What We Do
We work long days. Some of us run doubles nearly every day of the season. And we love it when we recognize the same faces year in and year out. You—our local and returning anglers—keep us going.
