POSITION: Non-emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver

LOCATION: B811 MedTrans is a NEMT company currently located in the Solano County service area.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

B811 MedTrans is looking for drivers to provide caring and responsible wheelchair and ambulatory transportation for clients to and from their medical appointments, and other events using a company owned non-emergency medical transportation vehicle.

If you don’t like being in an office all day, have an excellent driving record, are compassionate and friendly and enjoy meeting and helping people, we would like to hear from you!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Transport patients to various locations in our medical transport vehicles in a safe efficient and timely manner.

· Observe and follow all traffic rules and regulations.

· Inspect vehicles before shift by checking fuel, oil, water, tires, lights, brakes and steering to ensure vehicle can be operated safely. Notify supervisor of mechanical defects or needed repairs.

· Report and document all accidents, vehicle damage, client incidents and mechanical failures.

· Complete trip documentation.

· Keep assigned vehicle clean and fueled.

· Wheelchair lift operation

· Communicate with Dispatch.

· Follow safety and COVID protocols

· Instruct clients on safe riding rules and regulations

QUALIFICATIONS

· Valid California Driver’s License. Good Driving Record.

· Must be at least 23 years old

· Ability to pass alcohol & drug test

· Ability to pass background check

· Ability to pass First Aid & CPR training course

· Ability to pass Department of Transportation (DOT) Physical

· Must have a positive attitude, good communication skills and be empathetic and polite.

· Past NEMT Driver experience is a plus!
