Since 1951, Peninsula Truck Lines has been proudly rooted in the Pacific Northwest as a family-owned business built on reliability, integrity, and service. The story began even earlier, in 1936, when the Vander Pol family entered the transportation industry by purchasing Oak Harbor Transfer.
In 1951, the Vander Pol brothers partnered to form Peninsula Truck Lines, launching service between Seattle and Port Angeles. Over the decades, the company steadily expanded across Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, opening new terminals, growing its service area, and adapting to industry changes.
Leadership passed through generations of the Vander Pol family, with Stan Vander Pol serving as president from 1976 to 2015, followed by Brent Vander Pol and today, Tim Vander Pol as President and Chief Steward.
Now in its third generation of ownership, Peninsula Truck Lines continues its long-standing commitment to treating employees, customers, and communities with respect—delivering trusted service throughout the region for 75 years and counting.
