Our Construction division is looking for an experienced Skid Loader Operator to join our construction team. Must possess a positive attitude to support Company goals and objectives and be knowledgeable and experienced in safe work practices with a desire to be a top safety performer.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Performs the safe & efficient operation of all equipment.
• Conducts pre-trip/walk-around safety inspection
• Maintains equipment in good operating condition, reporting & logging maintenance requirements or concerns.
• Completes production reporting and other documentation as required.
• Communicates effectively and professionally with other team members.
• Acts as a leader of both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all Company, customer, and legislated safety policies and procedures.
• Serves as an excellent Company ambassador and safety champion at all times.
• Performs other duties as required.
JOB SKILLS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• 2+ years of experience skid steer operation
• Knowledge of safe and productive operation of Cat equipment
• Must possess a valid Class C driver’s license or greater
• Ability to be a team leader in all safety aspects of the position
• Must possess the ability to operate equipment in the presence of field crew members and utilities, ensuring the safety of all persons, equipment, property and utilities in the area
• Knowledge and understanding of safe work practices associated with heavy equipment
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and in a dusty environment
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather, conditions, environments, and seasons and perform moderate physical labor in a safe manner.
• Required to wear standard personal protective equipment to include hard hat, safety glasses, safety boots, gloves, and occasionally/possibly, a face shield.
• Position requires the ability to lift, carry or otherwise move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Typically bends, stoops and crouches on a regular basis
• Overtime required frequently; weekends required occasionally
PAY STARTING AT $18hr, Depending on experience
