The Macoupin County Public Health Department is the lead agency for the MCPT program. Macoupin County Public Transportation Fare Schedule

• Same town - $3.00 each one way trip
• Travel outside city limits or rural town within same county - $5.00 each one way trip
• Side Stops (limited to 1 additional stop i.e., HomeBankGrocery Store Back H
ome): $2.00 extra
• Out of Macoupin County Trips within a 10 mile radius of Macoupin County: $7 each one way trip
• Out of Macoupin County Trips outside of a 10 mile radius of Macoupin County, but determined on a case by case
basis and availability: $12 each one way trip
• Children 5 and under: (Limit 1 child under age 5 accompanied by an adult): free each one way trip
• Additional children under the age of 5: $2 each one way trip
• Children ages 6-13: $2 each one way trip
• Individuals age 60+ are on a Suggested Donation for in-county travel.
• No Show: $3.00
• Springfield Services (upon availability): $20 round-trip service (provided on Tuesday of each week)
• St. Louis Service (upon availability): $25 round-trip service (provided on Thursday of each week)
• All out-of-town reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance. All services are subject to schedule
availability. Passengers are required to pre-pay for their transportation service via cash pass, e-pass, credit, or debit card. Drivers do not have any cash on the vehicle and cash will not be accepted other than at the office to load a cash pass or e-pass. MCPT accepts Medicaid and Managed Care Insurance for non-emergency medical transportation. The passenger will receive approval from their insurance, prior to calling and scheduling an appointment with MCPT. Passengers traveling in wheelchairs or those needing vehicle lift assistance are required to be at ground level before drivers assist passengers onto the lift. MCPT is strictly a curb-to-curb service. MCPT vehicles are equipped with wheelchair lifts with a capacity of 600lbs. Drivers are not allowed to assist wheelchair passengers up or down steps or provide assistance to wheelchair passengers when hazardous conditions exist at the point of pick-up or at the point of drop-off. MCPT Drivers may not conduct matters of personal business for any passenger. Passengers are responsible for all personal items or packages at all times. Please double check to make sure you have all of your belongings before exiting the vehicle. All children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Hours of Operation:
Curb to curb, reservation-based transportation services are available Monday-Friday 6am-6pm. Depending on the location and the destination of the requested trip, these times are subject to change. MCPT vehicles may experience delays or not operate when road conditions are unfavorable or unsafe. Reservations can be made up to two weeks in advance and must be made through the office.
