Experienced Truck Technician – Job Description

A & M Transport
Glendale, OR

We are seeking an experienced Semi Truck Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks and trailers, with specialized knowledge in truck brake systems, wheel end bearings, and seal replacement.

Responsibilities
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on semi-trucks and trailers
• Inspect, service, and repair air brake systems
• Replace and adjust wheel end bearings and seals
• Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections
• Troubleshoot suspension, axle, and drivetrain systems
• Conduct tire, hub, and wheel-end repairs
• Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation
• Ensure all repairs meet safety and compliance standards
• Keep work area clean and follow shop safety procedures

Qualifications
• Preferred 1 year of experience as a semi-truck/heavy-duty diesel mechanic
• Strong experience with:
o Air brake systems
o Wheel bearings and seals
o Preventive maintenance services
o Trailer repairs
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
• Own tools required
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL is a plus
• Ability to lift heavy parts and work in a fast-paced shop environment

Preferred Skills
• Experience with DOT inspections
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Come check out the new-n-improved baseball field and celebrate Glendale School District 77

**UPDATE**

We are still on to host a BBQ and dedicate the new baseball field on May 15th! Check the flyer for details.

Unfortunately, Riddle has had to reschedule the SOFTBALL doubleheader to Saturday at 2 and 4pm due to another conflict with a school activity.

We hope to still see you out at the baseball field Friday, May 15th, for a free burger or dog, and some good times at the ball field! Go Pirates! 🏴‍☠️

Over a 24hr period earlier this week California Highway Patrol conducted a speed enforcement blitz. In 24hrs 200 vehicles were cited for driving faster than 100mph! Speed has always been the leading factor in serious crashes and fatalities. It isn't worth the risk. Slow down, for your sake, and for the safety of others.

It's better to be late in this world than early in the next...

Workzones are necessary for road improvements but can be extremely dangerous. Please slow down everytime and follow the directions closely.

Our drivers have known about this for awhile. We see it happening at shippers and receivers. The national media is now shining a light on this problem. The practice is illegal, dangerous and unfair to the companies running honest freight. Its a problem for everyone. Hopefully we are on a path to removing this practice from our vital transportation network.
