I ❤️ PROVIDING THIS SERVICE TO THIS TOWN!!
This week marks 3 years since Unlimited Transportation Solutions, LLC opened taking over Candy's Cab/Candy's Cab After Hours. It's been an adventure, to say the least! My best friend of 30-plus years Candy came up with what I call the "BRILLIANT" idea 10 years ago to open a taxi service here in Greeneville. To be honest I told her she was freaking crazy. I just couldn't see it being profitable and my exact words were who the hell is going to pay to ride in a car? We both came from a large city where there were taxis but were raised pretty much out in the sticks. Having had our own vehicles since of age I didn't see nor understand the need for this service. Candy moved forward, dedicated herself, and sacrificed time away from her family to build a very successful business and provide a much-needed service and then handed it off to me. Believe me, I now know firsthand that this is not an easy task. I've been a driver, a partial owner, and now a full-time owner over the last 10 years. I've sacrificed, I've wanted to give up and drive all the cabs off Viking Mountain, and I've threatened to throw the phone out the window countless times if it rang one more time but at the end of the day, I know I’m doing the right thing. I'm filling a need in the community while being able to provide for my own 4 children. We don't just drive people from place to place. We are their friend, family, therapist, locksmith, plumber, mechanic, mover, bill payor, bank and so much more. To many, we are the only friends/family they have locally. I worry about them and even call or go to check on them when I don’t hear from them, and it warms my heart when they do the same for us. I personally couldn't imagine my life any other way.
There are so many people to thank for making all this possible:
- My best friend Candy without you this service wouldn't exist, and I would have never had this opportunity. You believed in me when no one else did and have always been there to help me succeed. Love u lots 😘
- My kids for picking up the slack and keeping our home running when I'm not around. For being understanding that I can't be at every game/competition and so on. You are my constant reminder and the reason I keep going!! Y'all are expensive!! Jk 🥰
- My family for helping with kids, cars, etc. when I can't. Which is often!! Making sure the kids partake in holiday traditions by coloring eggs, making gingerbread houses, and so on means the world to me.
- My personal mechanic and business advisor Mr. Eric for keeping the fleet going. I know it isn’t an easy task to keep up with and have to deal with me. You always have solid advice for me and keep me focused on what is most important. Stop rowing!! STEER!! 🚕
- My dear friend and second business advisor/therapist lol Paula you are always there to listen to me complain and help keep me on track. Help me set goals and conquer them by offering rewards in the form of food. Lol. You and Mr. Eric both have been a true god sent. Sometimes I think you both are more worried about me and my business’s success than I am myself. Lol.
- My drivers you guys rock! Thank you for always treating the customers like family, for your honesty, and for always going above and beyond to help make this business succeed!!!
- My customers and local businesses for being loyal and trusting in my service. For your understanding, on rough days, and your appreciation for what we do. You are my biggest cheerleaders!!
I am here today and business is growing more and more daily because of all of you and I hope you each know how much I truly love and appreciate you!!
