Your main negotiation power is the COMMODITY not ❌the rate per mile. You are negotiating base on the goods not the miles!! Always asks what is the commodity!

The U.S average for a gallon of diesel is $3.78!
Last year in South Carolina diesel prices was $2.49
This year in South Carolina diesel is $3.65 🤦🏾‍♀️

Either way we gotta pay for fuel🤷🏾‍♀️ the only advice I would have is PLAN YOUR ROUTE!…. and make sure your company has fuel cards with a good discount rate😘

Don’t forget 4Q IFTA is due fuel and mileage tax reports are due Monday!!!

Time is Money💰! Many of y’all are missing out on Thousands of dollars because you forgot to factor in detention pay.

Don’t send in the invoice until you have an updated rate con with The detention pay added! Patiently waits on the broker. Remember, it may take hours, Days or weeks for approval 😫😤
