🎉 My fifth anniversary month continues, and today marks another special milestone—two years since my very first transport in North Carolina!

Meet Ms. Asiya—a very special lady who became the first person here to give me a chance, and I recognize her today for her part in the beginning of my NC chapter!

It’s been quite a journey since that first ride, and I’m thankful for everyone who has welcomed and supported me since.

Five years in business, two years in Greenville, and so much to be grateful for. Thank you, Ms. Asiya—you are an important part of the Rides with Rob story that I will never forget! 🙏

How I wish I could be back in this year for my 5th Anniversary! What a fun time it was revisiting the people and places that helped launch my business and propel it to what it is today. I even brought out the original vehicle signage and provided free local rides to give my visit a special, nostalgic touch—pure joy! 😊

Raleigh-Durham International Airport welcomes new airline Volaris with nonstop service between RDU and Guadalajara, Mexico.

RDU welcomed a new airline and international destination when Volaris launched nonstop service between RDU and Guadalajara, Mexico. The service links the Research Triangle to the technology hub known as the "Silicon Valley of Mexico" and provides more options for leisure travel.

Five years ago today, on October 8, 2021, Rides with Rob rolled onto the streets for the very first time.

My first ride was a late-night pickup in Berlin, NH, from Fagin's Pub, in a 2011 Jeep Patriot that I had paid $600 for and fixed up myself.

I was out for about 8 hours that night. I gave two rides.

When I started, I had no expectations. It was simply a side hustle to make some extra money after buying a house in an area that was still new to me. Just like when I came to Greenville two years ago, I didn’t know anyone, and no one knew me.

I was also told back then that I would never make it.

Instead, that first ride led to three wonderful years of connections, relationships, and positive contributions to a community that desperately needed it. It ultimately culminated in a letter of commendation from Mayor Robert Cone, which was presented to me at City Hall just days before leaving for North Carolina—a day I will also never forget.

Sometimes I think about how far I’ve come since that first ride.

My business looks so much different today. Not necessarily better—just very different. But it’s still just as special.

I never dreamed that a late-night bar run in an old Jeep would lead to consistent airport transfers, corporate transportation, partnerships with key organizations, and so many other memorable trips and connections.

Today is a special day indeed.

What started as a silly little idea has grown into a meaningful and memorable business—one whose impact is still felt almost 900 miles away.

I’m truly grateful for these last five years, and excited to see what the next five bring! ✨
