The Port of Harlingen is lighting the way forward! 🌟The port recently celebrated the completion of its roadway illumination project, funded in part by TxDOT’s Seaport Connectivity Program. This investment in solar lighting supports sustainability while improving safety and increasing operational productivity.

With 400% growth at the port since 2017, investments like this help ensure the port can continue to expand and support growing demand.

Thank you to the Rio Grande Valley Partnership for including our Port Director Walker Smith as a panelist for their first RGVConnect Forum on Transportation and Trade. We had great discussion about issues and solutions that would benefit the RGV economy and made new partnerships.

What a milestone to celebrate! Thank you to the Greater Chamber of Harlingen and Texas Department of Transportation Maritime and Fonroche Lighting for helping us commemorate our TxDOT Seaport Connectivity Program Grant Project. A $3.2 million investment in our region and transportation.
