Tuesday, April 26th, 2022 at 11.30 a.m. CST turned out to be a day when a dark cloud cast over my head and on me.
I started the day energized, happy with positive anticipation for my transportation business to launch a new work truck that I have been toiling to put on the road.
Long story short in a nutshell, I had an accident/incident on April 26th, 2022 going to get my work truck out from the body shop. While in the shop checking on the progress of my truck completion to drive it out, I encountered with the shop pack of guard dogs and while getting away to take cover and running backwards for safety & not to be bitten I tripped and fell down on my back landing on my hand. My right hand got so badly injured at the wrist with dislocation & fractured bones.
I was taken to ER by an employee of the garage but after x-ray they advised an Orthopedic Specialist has to work on my injury. I was referred to a doctor to schedule me for surgery, which was done on Thursday, 04/28/2022. I'm recuperating from home well but as per my doctor's advice, I will be away from the road for anywhere 6 weeks to 2 months approximately until June 30th if the healing goes as planned.
My new truck which I purchased brand new Nov., 2020 has had issues with getting the body done with delays the whole of 2021 due to Covid-19 pandemic and it has been one year plus months paying loan with no income from the truck. Now it's ready for the road, thanks be to God🙏🏼😇!
Jua Kali sector, the informal sector or small businesses as is known in Kenya, comes with it's ups and downs and challenges and calls for strong hearted to make it, and especially in the Diaspora. All I can say at the end of the day if you're in it, keep grinding and praying for God's help, direction and guidance while keeping focused on the ultimate goal, staying determined and persistent and not giving up. God's plans never fail no matter what and the success and victory destined for you will come to pass ... this is my encouragement, inspiration and motivation everyday🙏🏼!
