Daylight Saving Time Ends Sunday, November 1, 2026!

Don't forget to turn your clocks BACK one hour Saturday night before heading to bed! ⏰

As we fall back, our mornings may be a little brighter, but our afternoons will get darker earlier!

🚌 A Few School Bus Safety Reminders:

🌅 Parents & Students: Be at your bus stop at least 5 minutes early. Wear bright or reflective clothing to help drivers see you.

🚗 Motorists: Slow down, stay alert, and watch for children waiting at bus stops or crossing the road.

🛑 Red Lights Mean STOP! Never pass a school bus with its red warning lights flashing and stop arm extended.

🔦 Drivers: Be extra cautious during afternoon routes as daylight fades earlier. Watch those mirrors, intersections, and danger zones!

💛 Remember: The clocks may change, but our commitment to keeping students safe never does!

🚌💛 Wrapping Up National School Bus Safety Week with Driver & Monitor Appreciation! 💛🚌

What better way to end the week than celebrating our amazing drivers and monitors while continuing to put SAFETY FIRST! 🚦

We started our morning with some breakfast goodies and a little appreciation for the hardworking team that keeps our students moving safely every day! 🥞🍩☕

But the learning doesn't stop there!

Today, we're also completing a safety refresher focusing on:

🚌 Proper Mirror Adjustments – Making sure our mirrors are positioned correctly so we can see all danger zones around our buses.

🚧 Diminishing Clearance – Understanding how quickly our space can disappear and the importance of knowing our bus's surroundings.

👀 Awareness & Prevention – Taking that extra moment to look, scan, and make safe decisions behind the wheel.

Safety isn't just something we talk about during National School Bus Safety Week. It's something we practice EVERY SINGLE DAY!

🚨 THURSDAY: DANGER ZONE SAFETY! 🚨

Did you know that some of the most dangerous areas around a school bus are the places where the driver may not be able to see you? 👀

Today, our students are learning about the DANGER ZONE and why staying visible to their bus driver is so important!

🛑 10 GIANT STEPS! Always stay at least 10 giant steps away from the bus.

👀 BE SEEN! If you can't see the bus driver, the driver may not be able to see you!

🚫 NEVER GO UNDER THE BUS! No dropped item is worth risking your safety.

🎒 DROP SOMETHING? Never go back toward the bus to pick it up. Tell your driver and ask for help!

🚗 WATCH FOR TRAFFIC! Always look left, right, and left again before crossing, and wait for your driver's signal when crossing in front of the bus.

💛 PARENTS: Take a few minutes today to talk with your children about the danger zone. Ask them to show you what 10 giant steps look like!

🚌🚨 NATIONAL SCHOOL BUS SAFETY WEEK! 🚨🚌

Wednesday was all about BUS EVACUATION SAFETY!

Yesterday, our students had the opportunity to learn and practice an important lesson, how to safely evacuate a school bus in an emergency!

Our drivers worked with students on the importance of:
🚌 Listening carefully to the driver's instructions.

🚨 Knowing where the emergency exits are located.

🚶 Staying calm and exiting the bus in an orderly manner.

🤝 Helping one another and moving to a safe location away from the bus.

💛 Understanding why emergency evacuation procedures are so important.

While we hope our students never have to use these skills in a real emergency, being prepared can make all the difference!

What better way to celebrate National School Bus Safety Week than with our annual school bus inspections?!

Every year, our buses undergo inspections by the Wisconsin State Patrol to help ensure they meet safety standards and are ready to transport our most precious cargo YOUR CHILDREN! ❤️

From under the hood to inside the bus, every detail matters!

🚨 Emergency exits and safety features
🚌 Overall bus condition and compliance

School bus safety isn't just about what happens on the road. It starts in the garage with inspections, maintenance, and a commitment to doing things right!

🚨 WEDNESDAY: BUS EVACUATION DAY! 🚨

BE PREPARED! STAY CALM! STAY SAFE!

Today is all about teaching our students what to do if an emergency ever happens on their school bus!

We hope we NEVER have to evacuate a bus during a real emergency, but knowing what to do ahead of time can make all the difference! ❤️

🚌 Today, our drivers will be reviewing:

✅ Where emergency exits are located, including the rear door, windows, and roof hatches.

✅ Where important safety equipment is kept, including the first aid kit, fire extinguisher, and emergency triangles.

✅ How to stay calm, listen, and follow the driver's instructions.

✅ How to safely evacuate through the FRONT door, leaving belongings behind.

✅ Where to gather and wait safely after exiting the bus.

🚨 IMPORTANT: Students will practice evacuating through the FRONT door only. Rear emergency exits will be demonstrated and explained, but students will NOT physically evacuate through the rear door today.

💛 PARENTS, HERE'S YOUR CHALLENGE!

Ask your child tonight:

❓ Do you know where the emergency exits are on your bus?

❓ What should you do if your driver tells you to evacuate?

❓ Should you grab your backpack before leaving?

❓ Where should you go once you're safely off the bus?

Tuesday's Safety Topic: STOP-ARM SAFETY! 🚦

Today, we're reminding everyone that keeping our children safe around school buses is EVERYONE'S responsibility!

🛑 ATTENTION DRIVERS! 🚗

When you see a school bus with its RED LIGHTS FLASHING and STOP ARM EXTENDED, STOP!

Those flashing lights aren't a suggestion! Children may be getting on or off the bus, and some may need to cross the road.

🚸 ATTENTION STUDENTS!

When crossing the street to get on or off your school bus, remember:

🛑 STOP – Wait for your bus driver's signal before crossing.

👀 LOOK – Look left, right, and left again! Never assume a vehicle will stop.

🚶 WALK – Never run across the street.

🚌 STAY VISIBLE – Make sure your bus driver can see you at all times.

⚠️ NEVER cross behind the school bus!

❤️ PARENTS & MOTORISTS: Please slow down, stay alert, put down the distractions, and NEVER try to beat a school bus stop arm.

A few seconds of patience could save a child's life!

Our drivers work hard every day to transport students safely, but we need the community's help too!
