Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated mechanic to join our team at Olinger Heavy Hauling. As one of our mechanics, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the functionality and safety of various equipment, including forklifts, heavy machinery, and more. Your expertise will contribute to our reputation for quality service and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
· Perform repairs on broken or inoperable forklifts and heavy equipment, using your mechanical skills to diagnose and resolve issues effectively.
· Provide on-site road services and conduct repairs in our well-equipped shop.
· Participate in the maintenance and upkeep of a wide range of equipment, including forklifts, skid steers, scissor lifts, and man lifts.
· Conduct routine inspections, diagnose mechanical problems, and execute necessary repairs.
· Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
· Maintain accurate records of repair activities, including parts used and services performed.
· Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating repair options, timelines, and costs to clients.
· Uphold safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
Requirements:
· 3-5 years of experience as a mechanic, preferably with experience in repairing forklifts and heavy equipment.
· Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
· Familiarity with a variety of heavy equipment, including forklifts, skid steers, scissor lifts, and man lifts.
· Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
· Effective communication and customer service skills.
