As you're out and about on the roads, keep these tips in mind whenever you see a school bus, especially around school zones or bus stops! 🚌🛑

1. Prepare to stop when a slowing school bus has its overhead yellow lights flashing.
2. Stop at least 20 feet away from a stopped school bus with red overhead lights flashing.
3. Avoid distracted driving, especially during student pick up and drop off times.
4. Watch and be alert for students waiting at their bus stops.

Be aware of the Danger Zone!
The Danger Zone extends 10 feet from the front, sides and rear of the bus. Students can promote safety by crossing the street at least 10 feet in front of the bus, waiting for the bus driver's direction, and maintaining eye contact with the bus driver.
