We just completed a haul for a family that has been going through hell. She didn't complain about our price, even though money is super tight for them.
I didn't know how tight but.. there was that sense without her saying it. I don't do fill rates. We can't afford to. I do fair rates. I was able to come down a little on my plm and still make a little.
But, that isn't the point. The point is she paid in a timely fashion, didn't complain one time about price AND at delivery tried to tip Scott with a $300.00 check.
This was such a GRAND gesture from someone who is starting over after getting the short sh*tty end of the stick.
When Scott called me and told me, and then said "I know we are struggling to but I can't cash this check". Of course I whole heartedly agreed.
We have amazing clients. And we truly love them all. We do our best to do a good job.
Be kind, if you can't be helpful to someone, please don't try to hurt them. Only people with evil in their hearts will run another down or try to destroy them. This world is so very difficult as it is, and many are suffering. Be the reason someone regained their hope, their light, their purpose. Don't be the one trying to put out their light.
That $300.00 check was worth a million bucks to us because it came from a place of deep love and true appreciation. We will not cash it as it will be more helpful to this young family. We will keep it and frame it to remind us there are some beautiful people out there even after they have been so soundly trounced.
