After 22 years, Dave Miller walked out the Ryan Transportation doors as an employee for the last time today! Dave had a great run here, he played a big role in securing the majority of the customers we have today, and he’s had great relationships with those customers through the years. Dave wore many hats through the years, sales, friend, bad golfer, and I always thought he did some of his best work on the grill during company cookout’s! We’ll miss seeing Dave’s face on a daily basis, and I know our customers will miss him too, but I’ll see him back on the golf course this spring😃

I’m not sure we’re prepared, but here we are, just minutes away from him walking out this door for the last time as an employee. We’re losing a great one, we’ll miss his knowledge and we’ll miss having him around here to laugh at and laugh with, but don’t tell him I said any of that😉. I’m happy and excited for Jim and Donna! I know she’ll be happy to have him home, well most days. When she needs him out of the house, Donna knows she can always send him our way for a few hours😃

Jim always told me he was on the downside of a mediocre career, but his 23 years here with Ryan Transportation has been anything but mediocre. He was always a huge part of what we’ve accomplished here, as a Steward and a Safety Manager, and that legacy will carry on. I’m thankful for my time here with Jim. I know we’ll be seeing you soon. A true PFL🚛❤️💙

Today, we are extraordinarily humbled and grateful to two walk-in donors who contributed over 22 bags of high quality toys for our campaign this year! The walk-in traffic in general is fantastic already and all of us around the office are just overjoyed seeing the incredible toys! Really looking forward to seeing how the Livonia community matches this wonderful example! Thank you Dan and Krista!

We lost a member of our Ryan Family earlier this week. Bill (Bull) Durham you sure will be missed. A great driver, a loyal employee, and above all, just a wonderful man. It would be impossible to find someone around here that didn’t respect the heck out of you. Thank you for being a part of us, Bull, you’ll never be forgotten😥🙏🏻😇

For those that knew him, former driver, Elmer "Skip" Theek passed away on September 17th. He was much beloved around Ryan and will be missed sorely by those whose lives he touched. RIP

June brought an end of an era at Ryan Transportation. Congratulations are in order for two men that have played a significant role in the success of Cavalier Cartage through the years. These two are not only hard working but are two genuinely good people. They’ll both be missed around here tremendously. As a company, our success is tied directly to our employees and we’ll continue to champion our people because we know we have the best of the best.
