Like so many of you, we have spent the last several days and weeks learning about the coronavirus (COVID-19) and how it is impacting our world. For Alpha Trucking Solutions, that means understanding how it affects our team members, customers, and communities… and then making the necessary adjustments to our work and operations.
The safety of our team members and you, our customer, is of the utmost importance. We are following all CDC guidelines and local / state health authorities to respond to this situation. All of our team members have been educated on the signs of symptoms and given tips on how to prevent transmission, including proper cleaning and sanitation processes.
Illinois secretary of State has issued an emergency rule extending expiration dates for driver’s licenses, identification (ID) cards, vehicle registrations and other transactions and document filings by 30 days. The IRP office will continue its operations in a diminished capacity of only 5-6 people until March 31st, 2020 and their offices will be closed to all outside visitors. Please let us know if you need our help with processing of your 2021 registration renewals.
Although Illinois Secretary of State has extended the renewal period till April 30st, 2020, in order to process any 2021 transaction such as adding a unit or transferring plates from one to another unit, you need to renew your 2021 registrations by March 31st, 2020. Therefore, we advise you to process your renewal in time so there wouldn’t be any problems after April 1st, 2020.
We are continuing our business as usual, with some minor adjustments:
The IRP office of the Secretary of State considers 2021 renewals a priority, so those will be processed first
Since the IRP office is working in a diminished capacity, they don’t make any promises when they will get the renewals done.
Also, Secretary of State will not be accepting any applications for new IRP accounts.
