It’s National Bike Week! The UBRC is hosting a free class, Bicycle Traffic Skills 101. If you want to ride more but are concerned about cars, you’re not alone. Learn how to make your ride safer — and more enjoyable. The class is led by Dar Ward, a League of American Bicyclists-certified bike safety instructor and longtime bike commuter.
Join us at the UBRC from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2. The UBRC is located in the Helen C White parking garage on Park Street, just across from Memorial Union.

We’ve all been there, trying to squeeze onto a packed Route 80 while balancing a coffee and a heavy backpack. To make the ride better for everyone, here are three ways to level up your bus game:

Make room for people before your bags. Offer the front seats to those in need. Instead of hoping for the best, get real-time updates through the Metro Transit application.

Spring rides hit different… unless your bike won’t stop squeaking.
 
Fix it yourself with a little help from the UBRC! Come to a free hands-on class from 5 pm to 6:30 pm, Tuesday, April 28th with expert India viola. Learn how to overhaul hub bearings (aka smoother, quieter rides).
 
Bring your own bike or just come to follow along. Access the UBRC via the steps from N Park St across from Memorial Union.
