While most of the world sleeps, drivers are still out there moving freight, chasing deadlines, and keeping the road alive.

It takes discipline.
It takes a different kind of toughness.

Respect to every driver running the midnight miles.
You keep America moving when nobody’s watching.

He won $3 million… and still wants to keep driving.

Montreal trucker Gérald Côté recently hit a $3M Loto-Québec prize after scanning his winning 30X scratch ticket at a Provigo on Île-des-Sœurs.

His first reaction?
“There are too many zeroes!”

But instead of talking about retirement, he said still loves driving too much to stop. One dream did make the list: restoring a 1960s Corvette.

Would you keep driving after a $3M win?

Every driver has one story from the week that only another trucker would understand.

A full truck stop, dock that keeps you waiting, fuel island backup, tight delivery window, GPS route that clearly wasn’t made for trucks.

So let’s hear it:
What’s the most “trucker problem” you’ve had this week?

One metal box changed the way the world moves cargo.

Before the modern shipping container, goods were loaded piece by piece from trucks to ships, trains, and warehouses. It took more time, more labor, and created more room for damage.

In 1956, Malcolm McLean, a trucking businessman, helped introduce the container system that made cargo easier to move between road, rail, and sea.

Today, that same idea still connects global trade.

From the port to the highway, logistics depends on the systems that keep freight moving.

Most truckers know “Double Nickel” as slang for 55 MPH.

But the term goes back to more than just driver talk.

In 1974, during the oil crisis, the U.S. set a nationwide 55 mph speed limit to reduce fuel use. For truckers, that number became known as the double nickel - two fives on the speedometer.

It slowed down the road, stretched transit times, and became part of trucking culture that drivers still recognize today.

A small phrase with a lot of road history behind it.

Truck Battle - Old School Edition 🚛

Two Kenworth classics. Two completely different personalities.

On one side, the K100 brings the cabover era back - compact, bold, and built with that unmistakable old-school fleet look.

On the other side, the W900A stands with the long hood, chrome, and road presence that still turns heads today.
If both keys were on the table, which one are you driving?

The biggest profit at a truck stop is not always where most people look.

Fuel brings drivers in, but the store is where many truck stops make stronger margins.

Coffee, snacks, drinks, and everyday road essentials may seem small compared to diesel, but those purchases add up fast - especially in a place built around constant movement.

A reminder that in logistics, the obvious revenue stream is not always the most profitable one.

Electric truck adoption is moving from test programs into real logistics operations.

Volvo Trucks reported that its electric fleet has now passed 20 million zero-tailpipe-emission miles across North America, with an estimated 34,000 metric tons of CO₂ avoided.

For the trucking industry, the message is clear:
• electric trucks are gaining real operating miles
• regional and dedicated routes are leading the shift
• charging access and service support still matter
• diesel remains essential for many long-haul operations
• cleaner freight depends on matching the right truck to the right lane

The future of logistics will not be defined by one type of equipment. It will be defined by smarter planning, stronger ex*****on, and freight operations that know when new technology actually fits the job.
