Slow down and keep your eyes open for school buses and pedestrians! Lots of congestion and detouring starting next week so please do your part to help keep our kids safe!!!!

With construction underway, many neighborhood streets are seeing more traffic than usual as drivers navigate detours and alternate routes. We’re asking everyone to please slow down, stay alert, and use extra caution when traveling through these areas.

Please remember you’re driving through someone’s neighborhood. That means watching for kids, pedestrians, pets, and increased local activity. A few extra seconds can make a big difference in keeping everyone safe.

Construction impacts all of us, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation. Let’s continue to look out for one another and be respectful of our neighbors as we make our way through these busier streets. 🚧

ATTENTION Marshall TIGERS! Starting Monday May 18th, 5th St as well as College & Main will be closed. Changes to effected students have been sent via email and small note handed out by bus drivers. A Bus stop in the near the 5th St closure has been MOVED to and alternative location.

During these closures, please make sure to stay vigilant and cautious of buses stopping to drop off and pick up students. There are A LOT of students who live in the effected neighborhoods and buses will be stopping in new locations. Along with higher traffic, you will likely also notice more and more students.

As always, please free to comment, send us a message, or call the bus office with any questions.

Starting Monday morning, May 18, the Main Street intersection (Hwy19/Hwy59/Hwy68) will be closed.

Crews will replace the sanitary sewer, upgrade the signal system, and begin work on new pavement and sidewalks. Work is expected to take 4 to 6 weeks.

Alternate routes are shown in green and closures are shown in red on the attached image.

Local access:
West Redwood Street will be open for crossing only. No travel along Hwy 19 in the work zone. The crossing will be gravel.

Hwy 19 remains closed from Main Street to N. 3rd Street.

Please slow down, watch for workers, and use caution on local streets.

Let’s keep our kids safe!

Effective yesterday, state law now requires drivers to stop at least 20 feet away from a school bus when its red lights are flashing, regardless of if the stop arm is extended.

This is for the safety of all. Do not risk getting a ticket or going to jail for the savings of a few seconds.

Also, do not be that person who keeps inching forward as you wait. You are not going to save any more time by moving forward 14.25"...give the kids time and room.
