-We currently serve 38 states east of the Rockies from our terminal headquarters located in Mattawan, MI, 6 miles west of Kalamazoo. Our real specialty is time- and temperature-sensitive shipments in the Great Lakes states of Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, plus Maryland, New Jersey, and western New York, to and from western Michigan. er three trailers to every truck, which allows us the flexibility to participate in drop trailer programs for high volume lanes, saving our drivers’ time, and our customers’ money. All of our tractors are satellite GPS equipped, providing up-to-the-minute tracking and the highest security for our customers’ freight. Also, our automated dispatch system allows us to accurately monitor detention, minimize freight claims, and maintain constant communication with our drivers and customers. Warehousing:
-Our facilities are extremely accessible, less than 2 miles from I-94 on Red Arrow Highway in Paw Paw, a convenient stopping point halfway between Chicago and Detroit. Miles beyond a bulk storage facility, RMI Warehouse serves as a distribution center for 2 major food producers, offering order picking to case level and ancillary services like custom pallet building and hot-shrink “club pack” repackaging. Inventory is accurately tracked down to the case with our real-time Warehouse Management System (WMS) AccuPlus. Some customers also choose to take advantage of our available web portal, “LogiView”, to view inventory, shipment, and receipt activity, accurate within 15 minutes. This allows inventory planners to make informed decisions regarding their product availability and communicate with their customers more quickly and accurately.
