Trapeze Group fareboxes were developed for public transit systems to collect paper and coin currency. A complete farebox tower is comprised of top & bottom casings, three circuit boards, a removeable farebox, a bill validator, coin counter, and keypads. All fareboxes were installed and used at some point before they were replaced by a newer system. They've been stored inside on the upper level of our maintenance shop. For those interested in the dimensions of the casing, the tower has a base of roughly 12"x12" and it stands about 36'' Tall. They are ready to be reinstalled in a bus or used as a piggy bank for collectors.

For 20 years, Mr. Jordan has been a dedicated MATA bus operator, serving the people of Memphis with the same commitment and heart that defined his eight years in the U.S. Navy (1980–1988). ⚓️

His service took him around the world, from Korea to the Philippines to Iraq, but it’s his service here at home that continues to make an impact every day.

When asked what he loves most about his job, his answer says it all: “The people.”

Mr. Jordan brings the values he learned in the Navy, respect, patience, and pride, to every ride he gives. We are deeply honored to have him as part of the MATA family.
