Good evening to all you wonderful clients of ours...If you are a Florida based customer, I almost have everything set up for everyone on the new website for IRP and IFTA. It's been "interesting". Apparently, I have blown up the system so there are still a few of you left I have to do. Having said that Please, Please, Please, make sure if you have a renewal in the next 60 days that you get everything to me quickly. I don't know what obstacles I may face with this system. Also, send your fuel taxes in as early as possible (if you're not 100% on ELDs) so I can get an early jump. Thank you!!!

It's been a crazy week. Most of our emails are up and running but still some glitches. In the meantime, power outages 3 times this week. Yesterday, an accident took out the power again. Prayers to the vehicles involved. My understanding is it was a dump truck and a motorcycle. With a brother that rides and working with CMVs like we do, that hit home. Y'all be careful out there! We are up and running this morning. With the power outages, the phones go out as well so we'll be returning calls today. Thanks for your patience!

MCCI will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, February 21 for Mardi Gras. Downtown streets will be closed and the City wouldn't let us ride to work on the floats so...we'll see you Wednesday!

Last post for today, I promise. My employees are awesome. Really. As I've said a lot, there's barely been a week since COVID started that we haven't been short staffed either due to the virus or just turnover. We made it through the virus and now, with gas prices the way they are, it's costing employees a lot more money just to go to work. The people you deal with every day here...they show up, they don't complain (other than wanting Vodka in the water cooler) and they just get it done. And let me tell you, when you're short staffed and people aren't getting responded to as quickly as they'd like, guess who gets it...the ones who show up. They are working so hard every day and we wouldn't have a business without them. We are a small business...8 people total working if no one is out or on vaca.

Ways you can help? Glad you asked...PLEASE, PLEASE call/email the person who handles the area you have a question about. It's on the menu when you call. Also, we are consultants. We consult. All...day...long... which means we're on the phone pretty much continuously, then we hang up and call back messages. So, if you call and don't get us, leave a message with your question. Better yet, email your question. We can respond a LOT faster that way or even forward the message to someone who can get to you quicker. Please don't email "Call me" without just a brief idea of what it's about like "Drug Testing Question", "Stopped at a weigh station". These little changes will have a significant impact on turn around time.

Last but not least, I love my customers. You guys are the reason I do what I do. Thank you for being so understanding. Thanks for just calling to check on us. You're really like family!

We rolled out a new payment process through bill.com that is going to be great. It will allow you to see all your invoices, make one payment for multiple invoices, save payment info for future use and set up auto pay. Just click on the blue button in your July invoice that was emailed and set up your login and payment information. It will lead you through the process to get started. PLEASE understand I cannot personally talk every customer through the setup so if you need help, refer to the email I sent or you can call bill.com at 650-621-7700 for assistance. We already have a good number of our customers who have signed up and said the process was easy peasy (is that still a saying?)

Fuel tax month is in full swing. Just a reminder we need your miles and fuel by the 15th. If you have an ELD, make sure you've entered all of your fuel receipts.

I just want to thank all of you for your patience while we've adjusted to our staffing shortage. We have hired an awesome new person for our fuel tax department, Deanna. This will be her first fuel tax month in July so y'all be sure to send in everything early and correct so we don't scare her off! lol Jessica has transitioned to handling tags remotely. She has moved to Huntsville with her family but has agreed to help us with tags and audits. Please remember, we do not have a tag person at the office. All documents need to be emailed to her at [email protected]. This is a tough job to do remotely so please be patient. She's doing a great job and had she not agreed to handling this position, we would have had to discontinue tag services in the interim so PLEASE BE KIND AND PATIENT!

Again, thank you for supporting small businesses. This economy is a tough one and many small businesses are being affected through staffing shortages, supply shortages, fuel etc. Please support your small businesses whenever possible. Also, remember our trucking companies and drivers and what they face with these rising fuel costs. If you haven't already, hug a trucker today!
