Another day another crane! Always makes for a nice photo when they color match to your truck as well. This Liebherr 885 base machine weighing in at 125,000lbs (making our total weight around 190,000lbs) made another safe trip from Pittsburgh PA to Cleveland OH today.

Hey everyone, we will be looking to hire Heavy Haul drivers. Mainly 8 axle tractor trailer hauling Heavy construction equipment. Pay is percentage of the gross load pay and drivers are normally out a couple nights a week depending on the runs. Dear thieves,

I see one of you took it upon yourself to rob a few batteries out of an excavator we had parked in our yard literally on our trailer. You’ve done more than just this you also vandalized one of our employees vehicles. All in all you made off with about $400 in parts. However you cost us nearly $2500 because the machine is now throwing an engine code and won’t start and delaying the driver. Not to mention the thousands of dollars in damages to our employees truck.

Now here’s the thing, you made $400 (on a good day) between I’m guessing atleast 2 of you. We literally have jobs left and right I could have hired you for to make an honest living. We could keep you busy 40-50 hours a week and teach you multiple different life skills. Clearly you already have skills using a saws all, a set of wreches and evidently you’re willing to work night shift. We would much rather let our drivers go home after a long week than stay to clean or wash their trucks. We could show you 3 different companies that we work with that need labors or operators they would teach you all you need to know. They would pay you good, treat you better and bring you into their family. So why steal from us? Why steal from a company that would help you at every corner. This week at Country Roads Transport the guys put there Over Height skills to the test but on two very opposite load types. Drivers Chris Marcum and Marc Gamble transporting some cable spools sitting just under 16’ tall and 14’6” wide! While Driver Michael Thompson transports a Cat 988 wheel loader sitting just under 15’ tall and 14’6” wide! A lot of planning goes into permitting anything over the legal height of 13’6”. These drivers showed their skill level with these 3 oversized moves this week, all delivered safe and sound! Great job guys!

The terms “No” or “We can’t get that done” aren’t thrown around here very often or at all for that matter. So, when a customer called Friday with an urgent request to have their Liebherr 8100 crane weighing in around 195,000lbs and requiring 4 trucks for transport be delivered 1000 miles to Minneapolis, MN and then reload their Liebherr 855 crane and return back all before the 4th of July travel restrictions set in. Well, our answer was simple “We’ll make it happen”. How hard could it be right? But, considering the crane sitting on our truck and trailer all combined weighs over 240,000lbs it makes getting a permit a little tricky. By routing around certain states we added an additional 300 miles to the trip but we were able to cut a week off the delivery date. Then we had to contact the Divison of our company based in North Port, Florida which is where the trailer needed for this move is kept. All in all with quick planning from our crew and drivers here in West Virginia and an even quicker response time from the crew in Florida, we were able to be onsite to load early this morning. Big shout out to all the guys that put in the work to make this happen!
