Next week is almost here! 🎉

If you have orders you’d like to place, please contact our dispatch office as soon as possible. This helps us ensure everything is scheduled and delivered in a timely manner.

Thank you for your support! We appreciate you helping us stay organized and ready for another great week. 😊

Hey Carroll County guess what?!…it’s that time of again 😁

We’re getting ready for our Pork Chop Fundraiser on June 9th, and we’d love to see you there!

We’ll have drive-up, dine-in, and delivery available, so however you want to grab lunch, we’ve got you covered.

For those who may not know, this fundraiser helps support Carroll County Transit. Last year alone, we provided over 30,000 rides to people in our community, getting them to medical appointments, work, the grocery store, and so much more.

What a lot of people don’t realize is that while we do receive state and federal funding, it doesn’t cover everything. We’re required to come up with a local match, and that’s where things like fundraisers, donations, and community support come in.

That’s why events like this truly matter; they help us keep our vehicles on the road and continue serving the people who rely on us every day 💙

This will be our only pork chop fundraiser this year. We’ve always done one in the spring and one in the fall, but moving forward we’re going to switch to just one annual event.

So if you’ve come in the past or have been meaning to stop out, this is the one to make it to 💙

📣 A Message from Carroll County Transit Regarding Specialty Trip Rates 📣

We would like to take a moment to clarify the difference between our regular transportation services and our specialty trips.

Carroll County Transit is proud to provide affordable transportation throughout Carroll County, with regular fares starting as low as:

🚍 Seniors (65+) – $4 one way
🚍 Disabled/Veterans – $5 one way
🚍 Public Riders – $6 one way
🚍 Students (18+) – $3 one way

In addition to our regular service area, we also offer specialty trips to destinations outside of our normal service boundaries, including Galena, Rockford, Dubuque, Monroe, Madison, Iowa City, the Quad Cities, and more.

These trips require significantly more driver time, vehicle mileage, fuel, maintenance, and operating costs. While state funding helps support public transportation, it does not fully cover the expense of long-distance transportation services. In fact, Carroll County Transit has not increased its regular fare rates since 2018 despite rising operational costs.

Some of our specialty trip destinations include:

📍 Elizabeth, Stockton & Mt. Morris – $40 Round Trip
📍 Galena, Rockford, Dubuque, Monroe, Rock Island, Bettendorf & Moline – $100 Round Trip
📍 Davenport, Iowa City & Madison – $150 Round Trip

💡 Need help paying for transportation?

Many riders may qualify for assistance through:
✔ Medicaid Transportation
✔ Veteran Programs
✔ Agency Service Contracts
✔ Community Grants and Funding Sources
✔ Other Transportation Assistance Programs

Before assuming transportation is unavailable or unaffordable, please contact our dispatch office at 815-244-0011. Our team is happy to discuss your situation and explore available options that may help reduce or cover transportation costs.

Our mission remains the same:

❤️ Providing safe, reliable, and accessible transportation for the residents of Carroll County.

Thank you for your continued support of Carroll County Transit! 🚍💙
