South Central Area Transit Service Scats Offers Transportation Across 13 Counties to benefit the entire community including all ages, ambulatory and disabled.

Scats is a demand response transit agency, requiring riders to call at least 24 to 48 hours in advance. Reservations can be made with your local transit agency between the hours of 8:00am and 4:30pm. If an escort is required please let the dispatcher know when the reservation is made. All persons under the age of 16 are required to have an escort. Our Vehicles are all wheelchair accessible. A fare

is required upon boarding the transit vehicle. Fares vary depending on the county, Service, and destination. For more information about fares you can call your local county office or visit our website. Routes vary from county to county and service to service. Our goal is to provide safe, efficient and quality transportation services to as many passengers as possible. Mule Town Trolley provides a deviated fixed route residents of Columbia, TN. We have 62 trolley stops in Maury County. You can find a map on our page or at www.muletowntrolley.org.

Weather & Service Update – South Central Tennessee Development District and South Central Area Transit Service (SCATS)

⏰South Central Tennessee Development District offices will open tomorrow at 10:00 a.m.

Due to inclement weather and ongoing power outages, South Central Area Transit Services (SCATS) WILL NOT be operating tomorrow in Perry, Lewis, and Hickman counties.

SCATS WILL operate in all other counties (Bedford, Coffee, Franklin, Giles, Lawrence, Lincoln, Marshall, Maury, Moore, and Wayne) for dialysis and cancer treatment appointments only*, as long as drivers are able to safely reach riders’ homes.

Rider safety is our top priority. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to monitor conditions.

*Some other rides may be picked up, if the driver is on that route for one of the reasons mentioned above.
