Good evening, everyone! I had my husband (he does ALL advertising for all of our businesses) post in a few local groups this week seeking an employee; in our search, I had him include that I'd prefer a female employee (as many of you have expressed in the past when meeting for the first time that it comforted you to be meeting another female for exchanges), ages 18-27 (both to be similar in age to me to work with and because younger people tend to have less responsibilities as far as leaving for a couple of days for transport), and a height and weight preference of 5'6" and 180 lbs or under (and stated this was for sleeper comfort; many of you have seen our set ups and understand the smaller you are, the better rest you will have while on transport. I did not and do not feel like this is an unfair standard). I also wanted someone friendly and easygoing with a good passenger attitude, a driver's license, good driving record and an understanding family. I've had him make these posts before with zero issues.
There has been backlash in our local community today over these posts to the point that I'm receiving threatening texts and being hounded online (I would also like to acknowledge there has been a lot of community support for the posts and plenty who stated they saw nothing wrong with our employee search), I assume by those who don't meet the qualifications.
I don't typically entertain online trolls, but they're seeking me out to the point that I assume they will try to target some of you to spread drama.
