This road has been closed for 187 days!!! This is devastating for small businesses in the area. Support our local restaurants and small businesses.

Take a good look — this is O’Keefe Avenue, the main artery and thoroughfare for our guests, our deliveries, our staff, our community, and our neighborhood’s small businesses.

Since the street collapse on December 14th, 2024, this vital stretch has been barricaded and neglected — with no clear plan or timeline to fix it.

And the cost is steep. We’ve already lost beloved institutions like Maypop, forced to close their doors because access disappeared and customers couldn’t reach them. Now, the rest of us…Johnny Sánchez, Showbird, and so many other small businesses along this block are fighting to hang on through what’s projected to be the slowest summer our city has seen in years.

Deliveries are delayed. Guests (and staff) get turned around and frustrated. Traffic jams and detours push people away. And yet, we’re still here — doing everything we can to keep our teams working and our doors open.

We love this city. We believe in its spirit. But love alone won’t save this community if we keep losing the small places that make it special.

All we’re asking for is transparency, a timeline, and a real plan before more businesses fade away behind barricades.
