Tips to Help Prevent Left Lane Violations!

1. Make the right lane your default lane.
Whenever possible, travel in the right lane. Not only is it often required for commercial vehicles, but it also helps promote safer traffic flow.

2. Plan ahead for state-specific regulations.
Lane restrictions for commercial vehicles can vary from state to state. Before your trip, review any applicable lane-use laws along your route so there are no surprises on the road.

3. Watch for posted restrictions.
Road signs provide important guidance on where trucks may or may not travel. Be alert for signs directing commercial vehicles to specific lanes or prohibiting trucks from using certain lanes.

4. Stay aware when lanes shift or merge.
Roadway configurations can change quickly. A lane that was legal for truck travel may become a restricted lane after a merge, split, or lane drop. Monitor your surroundings and safely move into the appropriate lane when necessary.

Stay aware and let's pass on a 3-point CSA violation.
